Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Nate Crochunis, Chief Operating Officer (COO) for NewWave, provides corporate leadership across the organization, working to execute on the company’s mission while bringing the company’s strategic goals to fruition. Since assuming the role of COO in April of 2014, Nate has made a tremendous impact at NewWave in support of significant company growth through acquiring strategic partnerships, widespread successful recruiting, and leading many corporate initiatives enabling NewWave to build out its infrastructure.
Nate began his career in 1998 with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) working as a Program Control Analyst, supporting their Federal/Civil line of business with a focus on Department of Education and Housing and Urban Development programs. Following his tenure at CSC, Nate went to work for Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) as a Senior Project Control Analyst assisting the organizations Enterprise Security Operations. Nate thrived within their Department of Defense (DoD) programs division eventually being appointed to lead the team as Operations Program Control Manager due to substantial growth. After acting as the divisions Operations Program Control Manager for several years, Nate transitioned into a Project Management role driving programs that supported the Defense Information Security Agency (DISA) and the National Security Agency (NSA). While successfully supporting programs that helped protect and secure national interests at CSC and SAIC Nate received his Top Secret Security Clearance.
After seven years with SAIC, Nate went to work for Edaptive Systems on a program contracted to them by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). He functioned as the Enterprise Project Manager on the Phase One – Program Management and Business Requirements (PMBR) project for the agency’s Center for Clinical Standards and Quality (CCSQ). After spending a year as PMBR’s Enterprise Project Manager, Nate was promoted to Program Director putting him in charge of Edaptive’s largest government contract. He was responsible for growing the program to over 100 FTEs and nearly twenty million dollars in annual revenue.
Nate Crochunis is a recognized leader who has led large, integrated teams of professionals to meet common goals and objectives. Coupled with over seventeen years of experience in the execution, management, and administration of government contracts and programs ranging in areas related to healthcare, security, information assurance, and information technology; Nate possesses Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) credentials. His experience includes a strong background in business administration with significant expertise in strategic management, project management, and financial management.
Nate has extensive formal education in fields relevant to today’s most dynamic business and technical environments. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in 1998 from Salisbury University in Business Administration with a concentration in Management, Nate went on to earn his master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Loyola University in 2003. In 2009, he earned a graduate certificate in Information Assurance from Regis University.
