Vice President of Corporate Compliance and Operations
As Vice President of Corporate Compliance and Operations at NewWave, Debbie Westervelt is responsible for leading the corporate Project Management Office (PMO) and Quality Management Office (QMO) to ensure quality and consistency in product and service delivery across the organization. With more than 30 years of Federal Government Health Information Technology experience, she understands the Health IT business and strives for customer satisfaction, while fostering excellence in project management. Debbie is PMP certified, holds MBA and JD degrees, and is licensed to practice law in MD.
Prior to joining NewWave, Debbie was employed by Strategic Health Solutions, LLC (SHS), where she served as the Program Director on a complex government integration contract. Before joining SHS, She established a PMO at two government contractors, Maricom Systems, Inc. and ViPS, Inc. In her director role at Maricom, Debbie led the PMO, Quality Assurance and Configuration Management groups, as well as several contact centers and an integration contract. At ViPS, Debbie established the PMO and was responsible for leading the PMO, Quality Assurance, and Business Awareness across the ViPS government division, while leading a small team from research and development of a solution through the SDLC to market and sales. Her tenure at ViPS also included successful project and program management of many government healthcare software development and support projects. During her career, Debbie has successfully supervised project managers, analysts, architects, developers, helpdesk representatives, and other support staff, always with the goals of quality and customer satisfaction.
